Welcome to My Memorial Page

Hello my name is Rick Gonzalez, and I've set up this web sight In Memory of a very Special person. She was not only my best friend, She was also a mother, and my Wife. Please take the time to read About This incredible woman, She was one of a kind.
I met Lorie in the spring of 1992. At 20 years old I found her to be a strong and Independent young Single Mother. At the time I was a Rock & Roller and She was a Mother of a Pretty baby Girl. When I first saw her, It was Love at first sight we fell in love. A year later, Lorie and I were Married, and soon after had another Daughter. We lived in a house in a little town just North of El Paso TX. In a town called Sunland Park, NM. We made our dreams come true By enlarging our home.
Then in April 1996 She came down with Leukemia. Lorie was a Strong Woman with a Heart of gold. I was Very optimistic that she could pull through. We soon were able to find a Bone Marrow Match, but unfortunately May 24, 1997 a case of appendicitis ended our Battle. For over a year she was able to fight this disease and I am proud of her efforts. I miss my beloved Lorie, and I know she would like the kids & I to continue with our lives. She was the best thing that could have happened to me.
I was very lucky that I was able to be with her in her last moments. I have some advice to give to all, Always tell your spouse & loved ones you love them. It really helps. She made me a Husband, A Father, a Friend. These three gifts I will treasure for the rest of my life.
Epifanio Bueno was a great man, he lived to the age of eighty eight years old. He was born in a little ranch somewhere in Anthony New Mexico, and lived his final years here in Sunland Park, New Mexico. He moved here in 1983 with his wife Petra, and his adopted daughter Lorie (My Wife). Epifanio soon became well know and loved by many in this community, and he loved it here. He told me about his adventures to the far reaches of the United States and Mexico, traveling, enjoying life to the fullest. Epifanio wasn't an educated man, but he had ambition. He wanted to live the American dream of owning a home in a small town, with his family. Though, his plan wasn't a big plan, or one that would change the world, but his plan would eventually change my life forever and for the better. My children and I will miss Grandpa very much, and may he rest in peace. Rick Gonzalez Krystle L. Bueno Presilla A. Gonzalez
